The state requires a 75 hour class for a salesperson’s (real estate agent) license.
Tuition will be refunded if a class is canceled or if all available seating has been filled.
Tuition will be refunded to any students who after reading the screening questions believe that a license will not be issued because of these questions.
Any student can cancel at any time during the scheduled class instruction period. A full refund is available to a student who cancels after the first day. Half of the tuition is refundable after the second day. Those who leave after the third day have one year to reschedule and may apply the tuition payment to a later course date, should that person so desire. No tuition is refundable after the third day.
If a pre-registered student wishes to cancel before the class begins, a written notice must be provided in advance of the starting date in order to receive a full refund.
A student who fails to attend the required hours of class time instruction will be allowed to make up the appropriate topic/subject matter when the school conducts that appropriate session in the future. There is no charge for make-up classes.
The tuition payment is good for one year following the successful completion of the class allowing a student to sit in on any class should the student desire more class time on any topic
The class is structured to teach the essential elements of real estate including representing
buyers and sellers, license law, deeds, financial aspects, property descriptions, fair housing and
much more!
The New School of Real Estate is licensed by The New Jersey Real Estate Commission and is open to anyone
wishing to become a real estate agent in New Jersey or agents who are ready to take a Broker
class.
These are the steps to get a salesperson’s (real estate agents) license.
1. Sign up for a 75 hour class
2. Attend at least 80% of the class
3. Learn, absorb, take notes
4. Take the state exam which I prepare you for.
5. Achieve at least a 70% score on the state exam (that’s all you need!)
Each state handles reciprocity differently. We encourage individuals who are licensed in a state and desire to become licensed in additional states to contact the target state regulator body for details.
Become a real estate salesperson. All students must become a salesperson before they
become Brokers. Generally a Broker has to be a salesperson for 3 years before they can
become a Broker. So if you are new to real estate you need the salesperson’s class first. This
license will enable you to represent homeowners trying to sell their homes and buyers wanting
to purchase homes.
